11 Trends in Philanthropy for 2024

Over the eight years, the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University team has developed the 11 Trends in Philanthropy to scan the nonprofit and foundation landscape for the most visible signs of a trend: the rise of grantmaking, emerging networks, familiar voices making themselves heard.

In the 11 Trends in Philanthropy for 2024, you’ll find a range of moral, economic, equity-related, tactical and other issues that the sector will be challenged to find answers to.
