Vital Signs: Cozumel 2025 Foundation
June 8, 2026This study by ARRECIFE, an initiative of the Solidarity Action Fund (FASOL), estimates the volume and mechanisms of resource mobilization carried out by grassroots organizations when they receive support from donors. It was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach to determine the relationships established between donors and organizations.
Arrecife is a coalition of philanthropic organizations seeking to foster a culture of philanthropy in Mexico, one in which there is greater funding for grassroots organizations and which promotes development processes free from violence, with a focus on social, environmental, and economic justice, as well as strengthening approaches to resilience. This coalition recognizes that social research on the sector is needed to determine: How many organizations exist? What do they do? How much revenue do they generate? How much funding do they mobilize? How much volunteer work do they generate? etc.
