"Vital Signs Tijuana 2022," a study by the International Community Foundation (FIC), highlights the situation of migrant women, girls, boys, and adolescents in Tijuana, their needs, their survival and support strategies, as well as their plans and dreams for the future. This is an informational report that compiles the results of the diagnostic study conducted by FIC using data collected in the city of Tijuana during the last quarter of 2021 and January 2022.
The overall objective that guided the research was to identify priority areas of care and existing strengths in the community, specifically among women, children, and adolescents in migration situations, as well as social organizations and community groups involved in their care. The aim was to promote actions that improve the collective quality of life and foster sustainable development.
